Early on this year, I was residing in Budva, Montenegro for 5 weeks. While I was there, I sussed out some of the most popular yummy eateries. If you’re heading out to Budva anytime soon, make sure to check out some of the local’s (and my) favourite places to dine:
1. Kuzina Restaurant
If you want to escape from all the touristy restaurants along the beach, Kuzina Restauarant is the ideal place where you can dine amongst the locals. Kuzina is really well-known and loved by the Montenegrin locals. Well, it IS open 24 hours, 7 days a week, which turns out to be very handy. Here, the waiters speak some English, and they serve a good range of international and local dishes.

My personal favourite resataurant within the Old Town walls is Mozart Restaurant. It’s perfect during the winter time, as you get to sit outside amongst the Old Town walls, with fire lanterns keeping you warm. I haven’t tried the actual food here, but the hot beverages and cakes are good. They have menus dedicated for just the hot chocolate and one for their cakes. The hot chocolate is literally like hot melted chocolate – thick and smooth. Please excuse me as I drool…

3. Hedone Restaurant
If you’re looking for a place to dine (or even for just a drink) with the best views of Budva, look no further than Hedone Restaurant. Located on the 15th floor/rooftop of Tre Canne Hotel, this place is a must to visit for their beautiful 360 views of Budva from high up. From here you can see great views of the bay, the entire town of Budva, and Stari Grad (Old Town) at a distance.
