What type of clothes to pack for a trip to: Mancora, Peru

I had never been to Mancora prior to this trip, and I struggled with what clothes to pack. So I decided to write this little post as a reminder for future trips and I’ve decided to share it with you, just in case someone out there finds it helpful.

It’s practically summer all year round here, clear blue skies and sun-sun-sun. But it can be a little bit chilly at night during the winter months in Peru (July-October), so bring a pair of jeans/long trousers, or leggings and a light cardigan for night-time escapades (or you could easily throw on one of your lover’s shirts cinched at the waist). The Londoner in me couldn’t resist packing a pair of heels… Dont do this! It’s just unnecessary weight, clubs and bars in this area are just off the beach so people party in their beachwear here. Flip flops and cocktails for everyone, so bring out those pretty flowy dresses and “short-shorts” you’ve been hiding away. There are a lot of hippies roaming around, so you won’t stick out if you feel like trying out a little “boho-chic”.

Thanks for the post, I’m heading to Mancora next week and I’ve totally been contemplating whether or not to pack a pair of heels. I’ll be using that extra space for something else!
